APPLICATION PROCESS

**In order to take the either certification exam, the following steps are necessary:**

You MUST send in an application and receive an approval notice before registering for an exam.

1. Complete the application* (In-Training or Professional) and mail it to the address listed at the bottom of the form. Emailed applications are also acceptable. Criteria for the In-Training or Professional status can be found here.

2. You will then receive an email confirming your application has been accepted or denied.

3. After receiving approval, you will need to register for the exam. (See below for times, dates and locations.)

4. When your registration and payment have been received, an email will be sent confirming your payment and exam date/time.

* Please note that if you are retaking the certification exam their is no need for you to fill out another application. All you need to do is re-register.

* Both the In-Training and Professional exam will be given at the same time and location.

**The time listed is the actual start time of the exam, so we recommend that you arrive 15 to 20 minutes early to ensure you are checked-in and can begin on time. Late arrivals will not be allotted extra time to take the examination.

*** Additional information will be sent to you regarding your specific exam location.

* A $20 fee will be added to any returned checks.
** Cancellations must be in writing and either emailed, mailed, or faxed to the program at least one working day prior to the exam. Failure to do so will forfeit the exam payment.
